Star rating should be 3. Private medicine is expensive everywhere but its very convenient to have an english speaking medical team to hand when you are abroad!! Always ensure that you have access to funds should one need them. Fortunately cruise lines insist on travel insurance (unlike other travel companies) so monies spent can, (apart from excessess) be recouped. Rather than blame the cruise line for an illness you coud have picked up anywhere (including airport, coach etc. etc.) you should be praising them for their medical services and care once you took ill. No, I have never cruised with RCI.

How can this person comment on a Royal Caribbean cruise if he's never done one?

I am on this cruise this week and will write a full review on my return. Hand sanitisers have proven to be of little use and washing your hands with soap and water after going to the bathroom has been proven to be equally effective. With itinerary stops like Greece and Turkey what is to say that you did not pick up the bug ashore???

I was on the same cruise as Dunbar, in fact my second this year on the Navigator and agree with a,n's comment. Sorry you had a bad experience but I do not think all the blame can be laid at RCI's feet as we were ashore every second day.

Just amazing that the overall rating is one when the comnopnentparts had 3 fours, 2 threes and a two.
However, I hope you are fully recovered.
