We are just back from our first cruise. We were on the Navigator of the Seas. It was wonderful. The food was brilliant, nightly shows disappointing, not what I expected, thought they'd be more professional. entertainment manager Gordon was a bit annoying. Our stateroom was good, loved the balcony both for day time( for sunbathing)& the sound of the sea at night was so soothing. Our stateroom attendant Emmerson was very friendly & looked after us very well as did nevil & Omer in the dining room. The food was excellent all round no matter where we ate, but I have to give a special mention to "chops " what a meal we had there. Didn't bother with the Excursions, did our own thing, Dale the barman in Balleros was fantastic at his job & should be complimented. Over all not much to complain about, just loved it & we will definetly go with Royal Carribbean again, now that we have a taste of cruising & liked what its all about, pure relaxation & pampering. I loved dressing up for the formal nights, and even when they were not .

Thought Gordon the entertainment's director held the whole thing together, and could sing well too! Better than Brucie! Keep it up Gordon.

I can not comment on the Navigator as I have not been on this ship. We are in your age group and have been on Voyager of the Seas (first time with RCL). Shows were brilliant on there, I would say Broadway style. Next we went on the Jewel of the Seas and found entertainment on there very very good. Would you believe the worst I have seen was on QM2 (Cunard) !!!! Unbelievable - as their prices are so high. We now tend to stick to what we like and know best - Royal Caribbean ships. They are such extreme value for money - having said that - hope they don't increase prices too much !!!!
