we have just come home from a great trip to the med on independence of the seas apart from being a tiring time dew to so much to do and eat this was a wonderfull holiday satff were always happy and willing to help ship was spaceious and clean and as i say loads to do and eat, i am in my earley 40;s and i climbed the wall and rang the bell and tryed boogy boarding and both times felt by the staff and other cruisers i had done well even though i mucked boogie boarding up big time i still got well dons and claps the cabbins were lovley and clean, my son stayed in ours with myself and my husband he was in a pullmans bed that came from the cealing this was a nice bed to our beds were so nice and comfitable, the shows were all fantastic, the poor staff work so hard and such long hours but are still happer than some of the passangers the only thing we did not like and this is a personal dislike as i no other people that loved it was lisborn but our other ports of call were greatand enough time too look about with out getting boared or pannicking on getting back. one thing i would say on ANY cruise is look at the "at sea" times as it took 2 full days to get to gib this was fine for us but not everyone wants to be at sea so long.you can smoke on boared but only in the caseano and deacks 4,11 and 12 my husband says deck 4 is the best as it is under cover a bit more, one other point is it is a BIG ship and you do do a heack of a lot of walking each day and some time the lifts are slow so we climbed loads of stears as well and this can be tireing ( sorry about any spelling mistakes )

I was on this cruise and agree 100% - Its Royal Caribbean at its normal high standards in all aspects of this ship and holiday experience.

the lifts are a nightmare but when you've got kids running riot, the lifts are going to be abused. Going out of school hols may help. I would say that the adult only pool area is a major concern for me. Simply not big enough, when compared to the family and h2o zone. Not enough beds so an early start was needed and i was NOT one of those selfish people that put towels down at 8am then went to breakfast for over an hour. Overall a good ship
