My family and I, went on a 2 week cruise on the Independence of the Seas from Southampton.
Coming from the Isle of Wight, it was easy. Arrived at City Cruise Termail at 10.50am, straight through check in, and was on board at 11.15am, it was quick, like the last time. Had lunch, went to our cabin. We booked an inside, as you are not in your cabin for long. The ship left right on time, and as we where having our meal, we watched the Ilse of Wight pass by.
2 days at sea, which was cloudy, but arrived in the sun by the Monday eve, which was my son 12th birthday. The waiters brought in a cake and sang to him.
Saw shows, Ice shows, was were excellent, there is so much to do, or you can just relax. The staff are great, and by going with RYC, we only dressed up 3 times in the 2 week, its is so much better then how P&O does things. My sons were on the Flow rider. We went on the trips. We like Monaco, Pisa and Rome. The trips was execllent, a memeber of the ship came with us all the time.
I rate the food 10/10
the staff 10/10
the ship 10/10
Entertainment 10/10
onboard Activites 10/10
Accommodation 10/10
