Canada and New England Cruise

My wife and I took a cruise on Explorer of the seas sailing from Cape Liberty Cruise Port New Jersey. We visited New London, Halifax Nova Scotia, St John's New Brunswick, Bar Harbour, Portland and Boston before returning to New Jersey. This was our second Royal Caribbean Cruise the first being on Legend of the Seas which was excellent. We have also cruised with Celebrity on "Summit" which was also first class.
Explorer of the Seas did not disappoint. It was a magnificent ship with beautiful public areas - theatre, dining room, bars and lounges all spotlessly clean and well kept.
We would certainly recommend this ship and would definitely book with them again.
The only downside to the trip was the cruise terminal at Cape Liberty Cruise Port. It looked like a temporary facility. The time taken to disembark 3500 passengers was unacceptable and Royal Caribbean need to address this matter.

Quality of food - Consistantly very good Rating *****

Entertainment - Theatre shows were good but were just short of
the standard on our previous cruises Rating ***

Shore Excursions - We took two excursions which were good but
definitely overpriced in my opinion Rating ***

Staff - We found Staff to be friendly and efficient particularly
The Guest Relations Staff who helped us to trace
and recover a suitcase which had been lost by
Delta Airlines Rating *****

Childrens Facilities N/A

Onboard Activities Plenty for everyone - there is even an ice rink
on board Rating *****

Cabins We had a balcony cabin on deck 10, Port side.
It could not be faulted. It had everything you needed
and was kept spotlessly clean by our cabin attendant Rating *****

Overall rating We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise the only downside
was the disembarkation but we would cruise wiith
Royal Caribbean again Rating ****
