i saved up for over 18 years to take my daughter to the carribean, she is mixed heritage and her family come from Barbados, but due to all sorts of lifes problems i could not afford to take her so i saved hard and took her for her 21st birthday. the snag was i had to pay for my parents, my 2nd child too and myself. it cost a lot of money for a poor family. we cruised on adventurer of the seas in 2005 and we are still talking about it. we talk of this trip daily. we will never forget it. i realise that i bought the memories of a lifetime that year and my parents had only ever been to spain, france and germany in their whole life. Royal Carribean is the only way to Cruise. full stop.

| Quality of Food | |
| the food was excellent. its selection, its range of cuisine and the formal dinners were the most beautifully prepared, cooked and presented food i have ever had the experience of | | Entertainment | |
| most enjoyable was to spend time with my elerly parents walking the decks in the summer evenings, watching a show, sharing dinner in the format dining room together. we liked the comedian and the performance. the kareoke was dissappointing! we liked ice skating, the bars, the nightclubs for our teenager and our 21 year old. we played games on deck outside. we did crazy golf many time as we are great fans - it makes us laugh. | | Shore Excursions | |
| we couldnt afford formal booked excursions unfortunately. but our favourite one was the ones offering scuba diving/snorkelling/swimming with dolfins. we hired cars cheaply and travelled around the islands ourselves and booked excursions ourselves very cheaply. antigua, despite the recent events, was beautiful, so was caracao, and barbados. the beaches and the music and the markets and the mountain treks, the rainforest treks, the old sugar cane factories tour, the volcano trek. all mind opening, thought provoking glimpses into life now and our history with the caribbean islands. | | Staff | |
| the staff. all i can say is what the hell do Royal Caribbean put their staff through in terms of training - the staff were amazing | | Children's Facilities | n/a |
| | Onboard Activities | |
| | Cabins | |
| yes it did but my advice to anyone who can afford it, get an outside cabin. you never know when its day or night on an inside cabin. bit clostrophobic even though they are cool and clean and tidy. this is why they put the insert woven piece of carpet in the lift - so when you go to breakfast you know what day it is! | | Overall Rating | |
