Royal Caribbean Take Part in Fundraising

Throughout the whole of this month Royal Caribbean Cruises will be partaking in Make-A-Wish Foundation’s ‘Destination Joy’ – a fundraising campaign that allows guests on the cruise line’s ships, which also inlcude Azamara and Celebrity Cruises, to make donations to the charity. The foundation aims to ‘grant wishes’ to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Make-A-Wish donation cards will be available on all the cruise ships and any donations from guests will appear as an onboard charge. As well as giving money through donation cards, cruise guests can also participate in auctions where they can bid for unique onboard experiences such as behind-the-scenes gallery tours and lunch with the ship’s executive chef.

“We are proud to take part in ‘Destination Joy’ and help the Make-A-Wish Foundation make every child’s wish come true,” said RCCL Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard D. Fain. “Our company is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work, and this includes the wonderful work the Make-A-Wish Foundation provides for some of the neediest children.”
