Q:
we are sailing on the Spleandor of the Seas Royal Caribbean on the 6th Sept 08 for one week starting from Venice and we are staying for 2 nights in Venice before the cruise starts. Can anyone tell us the best way of getting from San Marco square where we are staying to the port where the ship will be berthed. How long will the journey take us as we do not want to miss the ship. !! Do we go by road or boat. We have booked hotel accomodation seperate from the cruise so RC probably would not assist us in getting to the port. Hope someone can help.
Thanks Anita Warr

We walked to the terminal. Just head for the Place de Roma(sp)and it took us about 1/2 hour or so. If you don't fancy walking with your cases a water taxi or bus would be your best bet. Enjoy Venice, one of my favorite places!.

The Vaporretta (waterbus) goes from St Marks to the cruise ship berth. Some one will come up with the exact name of the 'bus stop' at the cruise berth.
