Q:
Hi,
We are going on RCI Independence of the Seas next July (Italian Mediterranean cruise) Can anyone tell us when the shore excursions are likely to be on sale for this cruise? We would like to plan the excursions early so we can work out our budget but there are none online yet. Also can anyone advise on any of the excursions - particulary Rome and Florence. We are in Livorno on a Sunday so preumably the museums and galleries in Florence may be shut? Ports of call are Civitevecchia, Livorno, Gibraltar, Vigo, Cadiz and Sardinia thanks a lot (in advance!) Laura

Shore excursions are on line about 7 months before departure. Why on earth anyone would want shore ex on this cruise when it is so easy to DIY is beyond me though....

thanks for your help...we will look around Christmas. We are planning to do most DIY as we are usually very adventurous but were a bit unsure about Rome and Florence as this is our first big cruise (only done a 4 day taster before)and they are both some distance away and both large! Also as I said in the question we are in Florence on Sunday , so is it worth it if the galleries and museums are closed? Thought we might just explore Livorno or Pisa instead
