Idependance of the seas is a new cruise ship, a new version of Freedom of the seas. Nearly all places on this ship are wheelchair accessible and there are plenty of lifts etc. You may find the odd small lip on door frames etc. You must also remember to tell someone onboard that you would need assistance in an emergency. As with all cruise ships you have to do a lifeboat drill within 24 hours of bnoarding, this is where they show you what to do and where to go in the event of an emergency, with wheelchair passengers you are usually assigned a buddy so its worth mentioning at the drill. The ship is very very big with lots of space. She will enjoy it. I'm booking on her for later on next year and cant wait
